7/09 Social Gathering
Our next social event is scheduled for July 9th at the Grist Iron Brewing Company, on the east side of Seneca Lake. We will meet at 6 pm. There will be no presentation at this event. This is purely a social gathering to get together and share early boating season stories. Food and drinks are available for purchase. The special for the evening is ribs! Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is open to all members and guests. Please bring along anyone that may be interested in joining our club or who would enjoy the event.
7/31-8/02 Boaters' Weekend Rendezvous
Motor by boat or car to our 2026 Rendezvous! Friday to Sunday, July 31-Aug. 2, at Lodi State Park. The pavilion at Lodi State Park is reserved for a pitch in dinner and games on Friday, July 31, starting at 4 p.m. On Saturday, from 10-12, all will gather for brunch across the lake at Sapalta, the restaurant at Plum Point Lodge. At 3 p.m., all gather at Miles Winery, which is accessible by water. At Miles, an anchoring seminar will be presented. On Sunday, overnighters will head home.

The table below shows how all of our courses and seminars map into different certification levels within America's Boating Club. Vertical columns show the different Boat Operator Certification Levels, progressing from left to right. Rows indicate related courses or sequences of courses that are often classified together. Once a student has completed all of the courses, seminars and skill demonstrations in a column, they can receive the Boat Operator Certification listed at the top of the column.
Completion of each course in the Navigation Series will result in the award of a "Grade" (shown below each course name). Each grade after "Seaman" has the prerequisite of the grade to the left of it in order to be awarded.
The Educational Proficiency Award is given to students who attain the grade of "Advanced Pilot" and complete at least three elective courses.
The Educational Achievement Award, also known as a "Full Certificate", is awarded to students who attain the grade of "Navigator" and complete all of the elective courses. Recipients of this award are then awarded a grade of "Senior Navigator".
