Serious about boating? So are we. But we’re serious about having fun, too! After all, the purpose of boating is recreation, isn’t it?
That’s where we can help. The Finger Lakes Chapter of America's Boating Club isn’t just a boating school. We’re a group of people who enjoy spending time near the wonderful lakes and rivers found in our area as much as we enjoy spending time learning more about our mutual interest in water craft of all types: Power and sail, rowed and towed.
In addition to our educational focus, an important part of our mission is community service. For example, in cooperation with the Village of Watkins Glen we installed a Life Jacket Loaner Tree at the new kayak launch on Seneca Lake, and a second was added at the Clute Park boat launch in 2022.
We also enjoy spending time with old friends and making new ones. Throughout the year we organize social events that often include a shared meal, speaker and/or other entertainment.
Curious, yet? We’d love to answer your questions. Just click on any of the links below to send an e-mail to us and we’ll get right back to you. In the mean time, enjoy the web site. Please stay a while and look around!
